Classic VR ridge ventilation roller

Ridge rollers are placed directly under the roofing and allow ventilation and venting of areas where air and moisture can accumulate. They also protect against the ingress of water, snow and dust under the roofing. Thanks to a special profile, they can be permanently connected to high profile roof tiles. The materials used ensure resistance to aging, UV radiation and temperature changes. A wide range of colors allows for optimal matching with popular roofing colors on the market.

Modern Classic VR ridge tapes provide very good ventilation and protection of the ridges and corners of the roof. They are characterized by high diffusivity, so that water vapor forming directly under the roof slope is drained to the outside. They also have a sealing function - effectively protecting against the ingress of water, snow, dust and dirt under the roof surface. They are available in aluminum and copper versions. Air permeability (at 200 kPa): 380 cm3/cm2/s.

Areas of application

VR Classic ridge tapes have a wide range of applications in the roofing industry. They are mainly used on the ridges and corners of the roof, directly under the ridge. Their purpose is to protect the ridge from the weather and seal it. Air escapes from the roof to the outside, so ridge tapes ensure good ventilation of the roof. This is very important, because otherwise moisture can accumulate under the roof, which can lead to mold.

Installation of ridge strips is simple and straightforward. However, a few points should be kept in mind. Ridge strips should be installed primarily in dry weather, preferably in temperatures above freezing. The temperature should be at least +5 degrees Celsius. The surface of the ridge must be clean and dry, free of any dirt. Profiled aluminum adapts very well to the irregular shapes of roof tiles.

The minimum overlap of ridge tapes on ridges should be 50 mm, when joining two rolls the overlap should be at least 75 mm.
