Zinc coating

All components are manufactured from steel subjected to the zinc plating process. This is the most effective and durable way to protect steel from corrosion. During the tinning process, zinc atoms penetrate the outer layer of the steel, forming a surface alloy of iron and zinc, which forms a protective layer against corrosion. Depending on conditions, zinc coatings can last up to 100 years.

Powder coating

Powder coating is resistant to corrosion, chemicals, high temperatures and mechanical damage. Electrically charged powder paint particles are applied to the metal surface, which is then heated to 140-200°C, causing the powder to melt and polymerize. The advantages of powder coating include a smooth, crack- and stain-free surface, anti-corrosion properties, resistance to mechanical damage, thermal and chemical resistance, and environmental friendliness.

Wide range of colors

Two finishes are available - unpainted or powder-coated. As for powder coating, you can choose from nine beautiful standard colors. It is possible to paint the console in a non-standard (other than those listed in the table) color for an additional fee (lead time up to 10 days).

How to choose the right bracket size?

Roof brackets and chimney sweep benches allow safe movement on the roof. Such a roof communication system allows access to chimney and antenna installations, and can also serve as an additional escape route. The angles of the walkways and footings can be controlled by properly screwing the walkway cradle to the bracket. The angle can be adjusted from 0 to 65°.

When selecting a roof communication kit, two parameters should be taken into account:

  • Module length - metal roofing is available on the market in several standard module sizes: 315, 330, 350, 400, 420 or 460 mm. The most commonly used dimension is 350 mm, and dimensions above 400 mm are increasingly rare. Shorter modules, such as 330 mm, have been a novelty for several years.

  • Sheet gauge height - The most common gauges used on the market are 20 mm, 30 mm and 35 mm. Brackets can be used with a tolerance of ± 3 mm. In case of greater deflection - you can use a bracket with washers or an assembly for this type of covering.

The selection is made according to the formula:

BD (bracket type) - A (module length)/B (profile height):

Example bracket sizes:

  • BD-330/30
  • BD-350/20
  • BD-350/30
  • BD-350/35
  • BD-400/20
  • BD-460/20
  • BG-380/35

General principles of roof communication installation

Fastening the elements to each other and to the roof.

Roofcommunication brackets should be fastened to the wooden roof structure with wood screws complying with PN-EN 14592+A1:2012. 8 mm x 60 mm screws for fixing the bracket to the roof can also be found in our store. The components should be connected together using the screws (Ø 8 mm) included in the kit.

The chimney brackets are designed to form a string across the roof slope. The chimney brackets must be attached to the roof at a distance of at least 80 cm. Note that this is the maximum distance allowed by the standard. More detailed information about the brackets and the number of fixing screws and their dimensions must be specified in the technical design.

Roof purlins complement the chimney bay system and are designed to create passageways along the roof slope. Roof purlins should be spaced alternately, allowing the roof to be walked on like a staircase. When designing the spacing between eaves, it is necessary to take into account the angle of the roof:

  • For roofs with a slope of up to 30° - install tiles in every second row of tiles, at a distance of 70 cm from each other.
  • For roofs with a slope of more than 30° - the battens should be installed in each row of tiles, every 35-40 cm.

Note: The above information is the result of collected information and our experience. The above information should not be considered as installation instructions. The use of roof communication should be in accordance with the technical design prepared for the building, taking into account the requirements of relevant standards and applicable technical and construction regulations. To add additional brackets to the kit, use the menu of individual items.

Chimney Sweep Bench Bracket - is designed for installation on tile roofs. It is a load-bearing element of the chimney batten or roof slope. The bracket is attached directly to the metal roofing through the batten to the rafters. Fastening screws ø8 must be selected so that their length significantly exceeds the thickness of the batten. To avoid breaking the roofing seal, the screws must be used with a sealing washer, and the mounting holes must be additionally sealed with asphalt, silicone or other sealant. Footbridge brackets must be installed at a distance of at least 800 mm and at every possible connection of chimney grilles with fasteners.
