Superdiffusion safe contact waterproofing for pitched roof construction with boarding or thermal insulation. Anti-reflective printing for easy installation.
Safe waterproofing for pitched roofs and facades
TYVEK® Solid is a premium super-diffusion membrane for universal applications with an anti-reflective surface and high vapor permeability.
The anti-reflective print ensures safe installation. The roll is lightweight (8 kg).
TYVEK®Solid membrane was developed for long-term protection of pitched roofs and facades and can be laid over both thermal insulation and boarding (from Class 6 to Class 3 according to KPT recommendations for the design of additional waterproofing layers). Due to its unique properties, but also the excellent quality of the product, TYVEK® membranes are a best-selling material not only in Europe. The functional layer of the membrane is about six times that of other multilayer membranes. Its quality and thickness are crucial to the durability and performance of the entire membrane.
DuPont™ Tyvek® Solid waterproof diffusion film provides superior durability, protection and energy efficiency for homes and buildings. To provide long-lasting protection against water penetration, air infiltration and moisture, Tyvek® diffusion films provide a unique solution.
Tested and proven for durability
Extensive aging tests conducted by the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden have shown that Tyvek® products are many times more resistant to material aging than competing products tested.
Thickness and quality of the functional layer
Most conventional multilayer diffusion films that have been tested only contain functional layers about three times thinner than a human hair. The DuPont™ Tyvek® functional layer is about six to eight times thicker than conventional multilayer diffusion films-providing long-lasting functionality.
Unique structure
DuPont™ Tyvek® Solid consists of millions of microfibers interconnected in a unique "labyrinth" pattern. Thanks to this structure, UV radiation and thermal gains are distributed throughout the film, providing excellent durability and longevity. Due to its structure, Tyvek provides high vapor permeability exceeding 1000 g/m2/24h.
Proven UV resistance
While most multilayer diffusion films are made of polypropylene (PP), the DuPont™ Tyvek® functional layer uses a material - stabilized polyethylene (PE) - that is much more resistant to 100% high ultraviolet (UV) radiation and heat exposure. This is why Tyvek films have a lifespan of more than 50 years.
Heat resistance up to 100 °C
Exposure to heat can severely reduce the functionality of a waterproof diffusion film over time, with temperatures on top of the insulation sometimes exceeding 80 °C. Therefore, to ensure long-term performance and investment security, DuPont™ Tyvek® films are designed to withstand temperatures up to 100 °C.
DuPont product - a guarantee of quality
DuPont™ Tyvek® Solid uses a unique manufacturing process based on non-woven fiber technology. Each component is the result of more than 20 years of experience in the EMEA diffusion film market and a direct commitment to innovation and fiber quality improvement.
DuPont™ membranes do not change their properties even after 4 months of continuous exposure to sunlight !!!
